For the 30th anniversary of the Open Monument Day on September 10, the stage is set for the "Talent Monument". In cooperation with the Deutsche Stiftung Denkmalschutz, the Rheinischer Verein für Denkmalpflege und Landschaftsschutz, the Kultur- und Schulverwaltungsamt and the Theater Koblenz, the City of Koblenz will present itself in the classicistic Schauspielhaus and will be available to answer questions from the public.

The Großes Haus will offer its talents in three large guided tours through the otherwise closed areas. At 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., a renovation tour offers insights into the upcoming core renovation of the entire building monument. Another art and theater history monument tour will take place at 4:00 p.m., with additional behind-the-scenes tours at 11:00, 12:30 and 15:00. All tours start in the Großes Haus and last about 90 min.

Registration via www.theater-koblenz.de.

In the city area there is an extensive and varied program, which brings cultural monuments into the limelight, which are usually overlooked in everyday life. Various thematic guided tours invite guests to take a closer look at the monuments: The tour starts on the right bank of the Rhine at 10:30 a.m. with a Guided tour of the district of Koblenz-Ehrenbreitsteinstarting at the fountain on Kapuzinerplatz. In the city center begins at 11:00 o'clock the topic guidance "The splendor of the Rhineland and Prussia's glory - Koblenz in the 19th century" (meeting place: Metternicher Hof, Münzplatz), followed by "Stones Tell of Faith - The Koblenz Churches of St. Florin, St. Kastor, and Liebfrauen" at 3:00 p.m. (meeting place: Basilika St. Kastor).

Two special guided tours will be offered in cooperation with the Denkmalpflege and Koblenz-Touristik GmbH. At 4:00 p.m., the Denkmalpflege Koblenz will present a two-hour Costume tour through Koblenz's Altstadt, where the supporting cast finally takes center stage! In the manner of a showman of the time around 1900, you will be guided through the alleys; selected wines of the region will be served. Meeting point: Foyer of the Theater Koblenz.

If you want to get active yourself, at 3:00 p.m. you can take the whole family on a Geocaching treasure hunt "In search of the Empress Augusta's jewelry box" go. Using a GPS device and a questionnaire, the participants solve tasks and find the solutions. At the end of the tour, each participant receives a treasure that they must "lift" themselves - not to mention the new insights that the city rally provides. Meeting point: Foyer at the Koblenz Theater.

Registration for these tours: The tours can only be booked by telephone or on site via the Tourist Information (0261-129-1610).

The following tours start in the foyer of Theater Koblenz, no registration is required:

"Talent Monument-an encounter with talented buildings" is the name of the one-hour special tour at 11:30 a.m. by local curator Erich Engelke of the Deutsche Stiftung Denkmalschutz. In this guided tour through Koblenz's city center, buildings are presented that had the talent to become a monument, have the talent to soon cease to be one, had the talent to become one but no longer manage to do so, and have the talent to become one but have not become one.

The Rheinischer Verein für Denkmalpflege und Landschaftsschutz offers two special guided tours under the motto "Young Monuments" that take a close look at the often overlooked and mostly negatively regarded buildings and monuments of post-war modernism. Dr. Martin Bredenbeck will take you on a guided tour at 2:30 p.m. "Young Monuments: round and colorful! - Built gems of the 1950s in downtown Koblenz" and at 4:30 p.m. to "Young monument talents: square and dirty???- Buildings from the 1960s to 1980s in downtown Koblenz as candidates for monuments". At 1:00 p.m., the themed guided tour with Manfred Böckling "A New City Quarter Emerges - Koblenz's Neustadt in the 18th and 19th Centuries" will start.

The fortress associations present their stars on the Karthause, in Lützel and on the Asterstein.

On Fort Großfürst Konstantin, the permanent exhibition "Koblenz in the Second World War" will be open, and there will also be a book flea market, the proceeds of which will go to the association. At 11:30 a.m., there will be a guided tour for children aged six to ten. In cooperation with the city of Koblenz, Dr. Christian Kayser will give a lecture on "Die Feste Kaiser Franz - Aktuelle Ergebnisse der Bauforschung" (The Kaiser Franz Fortress - Current Results of Building Research) at 3 p.m. In Lützel, Matthias Kellermann will guide visitors through the newly designed Feste Kaiser Franz Fortress Park at 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m., starting at Bodelschwinghstrasse 1, opposite the senior citizens' residence. on Fort Asterstein, visitors* can finally experience "Fremdenführer Schorsch" again, who will welcome visitors* at Reduit Asterstein at 11:00, 12:30, 14:00 and 15:30 - with the literary freedom provided.
