The guide

The Festung Ehrenbreitstein, located on the rocky spur above the confluence of the Rhine and Moselle rivers, is today considered part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site "Upper Middle Rhine Valley". The complex is part of a system of military fortifications around the city of Koblenz, but impresses not only with 5,000 years of history, but also with a magnificent panorama and a lively cultural center with interesting exhibitions. In total, you can stroll through it for several hours. Experience how history comes alive during the two-hour guided tour along a circular route along original historical sites, from the fortifications of the Romans and castles of the knights to the Prussian fortification: What would attack and defense have looked like at the fortress? How did soldiers live and what weapons did they fight with? Learn how Prussian fortification art was able to create this structure. And take a look at the interior of the complex.
