Stadtführer in Kostüm vor dem Kurfürstlichen Schloss in Koblenz ©Koblenz-Touristik GmbH

The chancellor of the elector

The ghost of the long-dead chancellor Georg Michael Frank von La Roche guides you through the Koblenz of the late 18th century.

The guide

This historical guided tour in costume takes you to the most beautiful corners of the city: from the old Deutsches Eck, along the Rhine through the palace garden and castle to the romantic Altstadt. The spirit of the long-dead Chancellor Georg Michael Frank von La Roche will guide you through the Koblenz of the late 18th century, as the Elector Clemens Wenceslaus and the first German writer Sophie La Roche knew and loved it. The last years of absolutism and baroque splendor come to life again here and you will learn about modernizations, regimentations as well as numerous new buildings, such as the magnificent palace and the classicistic theater.
