With 7,200 square metres of exhibition space, the "Wehrtechnische Studiensammlung" (WTS, Defence Technology Study Collection) of Koblenz is one of the largest technical exhibitions in Germany. The study collection was founded in 1962 and has been located in Koblenz at the headquarters of today's Federal Office of Bundeswehr Equipment, Information Technology and In-Service Support (BAAINBw) since 1982. A wide variety of equipment, weapon systems and uniforms are on display.
To this day, it is used for training soldiers in the Bundeswehr and also provides, for example, illustrative material for preparing foreign missions. In addition, the WTS collects equipment, apparatus and literature documenting the development of defence technology.
