The chancellor of the elector

This historical tour in costume takes you to the most beautiful corners of the city: from the old Deutsches Eck, along the Rhine through the palace gardens and palace to the romantic Altstadt. The spirit of the long deceased chancellor Georg Michael Frank von La Roche will guide you through the Koblenz of the late 18th century, as the Elector Clemens Wenceslaus and the first German writer Sophie La Roche knew and loved it.

The last years of absolutism and baroque splendour are brought back to life here and you will learn about modernization, regulations and numerous new buildings, such as the magnificent palace and the neoclassical theater.
