Eltz castle

With its 8 to 35 meter high residential towers, the multitude of bay windows, roofs, half-timbering and spires, Eltz Castle is considered the most beautiful castle in Europe and the epitome of a fairytale knight's castle. in addition to the medieval architecture, Eltz Castle also scores with original furnishings from nine centuries: armor, swords, halberds, as well as magnificent courtly gold and silver work can be admired during a tour of the castle. The building survived all wars almost intact and has been owned by a single family for over 850 years. What also makes Eltz Castle special is its location in the middle of the forest, deep in the valley and surrounded by an idyllic nature reserve.
