How do I get the cable car tickets as part of a city tour?
The cost of the cable car ride and admission to the fortress are not included in the tour price! Tickets are available on site at the valley and mountain stations of the cable car or can be booked online in advance here.
With the exception of the private combined tour (old town, cable car & fortress): The cost of the cable car ride (outward and return journey) and the fortress entrance fee are not included in the group price. Your tour guide will provide you with the required number of combination tickets during the tour at the cable car valley station. You will then receive an invoice for these tickets from Koblenz-Touristik the following month.
Where do I pay admission to Ehrenbreitstein Fortress as part of a city tour?
The entrance fee to the fortress is not included in the tour price!
Tickets for admission to the fortress are available directly at the entrance building of the fortress or can be booked online in advance here.
The combined tickets (cable car outward and return journey + entrance to the fortress) are available either at the valley and mountain stations of the cable car, at the entrance building of Ehrenbreitstein Fortress or here online in advance.
What payment methods are available for public tours?
When booking online, you can choose to pay by credit card, PayPal, Giropay, EPS or direct debit. When booking at the Tourist Information Office, you can choose between cash payment, credit card payment (except American Express) or Giropay.

Tickets for the public tours are available at the Tourist Information Office or can be purchased in advance online here. It is not possible to purchase tickets spontaneously from the tour guide.
What payment methods are available for private guided tours?
You have the choice between paying cash on site directly to the tour guide or by invoice. You will receive the invoice from the tour guide afterwards.

How long do private group tours last?
Private group tours usually last between 1 and 3 hours, depending on the chosen topic and scope of the tour. Shorter or longer tours can also be arranged individually on request.
Where and how can I book a ticket for a private group tour?
Private group tours require prior registration and can be requested online via the contact form or by email to stadtfuehrungen@koblenz-touristik.de.
What payment methods are available for private group tours in Koblenz?
You have the choice between paying cash on the spot directly to the tour guide or by invoice. You will receive the invoice from the tour guide afterwards.

Can a booking for a private group tour be canceled?
Guided tours that are ordered and not canceled in time (2 working days before the appointment; by 2 p.m. Friday for Monday tours) are subject to a cancellation fee. The tour guides will wait 15 minutes at the agreed meeting point. If guests are late, there is no entitlement to an extension of the tour or a price reduction.
How many people can take part in a private group tour?
The maximum group size per tour guide is 25 people. If the number of participants is higher, additional guides must be booked so that the group is divided accordingly.
Where is the meeting point for private group tours and can it be adapted?
For the old town tour, guests usually meet at the tourist information office in the Forum Confluentes.
In most cases, the meeting point is flexible and can be adapted to the needs of the group.
Unfortunately, it is not possible to adapt the meeting point for certain themed tours. Please be at the meeting point 5-10 minutes before the tour starts so that the tour can start on time.
How long does the tour guide wait and how does the contact process work?
The tour guide will wait a maximum of 15 minutes for private groups. Please contact us by telephone if necessary. The contact details of the tour guide will be sent with the booking confirmation.
