Procedure
Staycation Day 1: Sunday, 30.06.2024

We leave our luggage at the hotel (check-in is only possible from the afternoon) and make our way to Koblenz at around 11.30 a.m. Altstadt.

Our day starts there with the guided tour Koblenzer Genussgeschichten (Koblenz Stories of Delight), which tells us about Koblenz specialties: from magnificent banquets and hot summer days with cold duck to Schrottele and Debbekooche. The tour ends at the Kaffeewirtschaft restaurant, where the regional delicacy, debbekooche, is already waiting for us.

We then travel by water on the FSG Augusta to Winningen, where the Blinn family welcomes us for an interesting tour of their wine cellar and a wine tasting in their vineyard. Here we get to know Kira Blinn, one of our young winegrowers in the area. Together with her husband Mario, she has been bringing in her own harvest from here since 2022. Although the winery is still so young, they are committed to the tradition of the old walls and continue to do so with passion and reverence.

In the evening, we round off the first day of our vacation in Koblenz with a hearty winegrower's buffet in the wine cellar.

Staycation Day 2 / Monday, 01.07.2024

After a hearty breakfast at the hotel, we head to the sparkling wine museum in the heart of Koblenz.

Here we learn interesting facts about the history of the Deinhard company, the work in the vineyard and the production of wine and sparkling wine. After the tour, we taste three different sparkling wines.

For lunch, we return to the Stadtflair, where another typical Rhineland dish awaits us: Himmel und Erd.

At lunchtime, we discover two very special manufactories: Frl. Diehl and Cahua. In the middle of Altstadt, we can enjoy handmade, golden, wonderfully soft caramel and pure handmade chocolate.

We end our vacation in our own city with a cold Ent!

Our staycation weekend ends here and you can pick up your luggage back at the hotel.*

We have deliberately opted for a short break from Sunday to Monday to avoid the tourist rush days in summer and so that you can enjoy your extended weekend to the full.

Note: Please inform us when booking if you prefer vegetarian food and/or have any food intolerances.

*The program is subject to change and cancellation by Koblenz-Touristik GmbH.
