Discover the Lahn Valley

From its source in North Rhine-Westphalia, the tranquil Lahn covers a distance of 245 kilometers before finally flowing into the Rhine in Lahnstein near Koblenz. Naturally, we recommend a trip from Koblenz to the beautiful Lahn Valley. You can bathe in the healing waters in Bad Ems, go canoeing on the river or explore the numerous hiking trails. Germany's most beautiful spots can also be found in the Lahntal!

Lahnstein is a charming town where history and nature blend harmoniously. The Altstadt enchants visitors with its half-timbered houses, while the imposing Lahneck Castle provides an insight into the town's rich past. Cafés along the Lahn invite you to enjoy the picturesque atmosphere and the surrounding hiking trails offer unforgettable nature experiences. Bad Ems
The Spa City of Bad Ems
"Not all water is the same", as the old saying goes. You can test this out for yourself on the Lahn. Bad Ems alone has 15 healing springs. Whether you want to try a sip, take a bath in a thermal bath or inhale the famous Ems salt - you can do something good for your health here. You don't have to be lazy here either. The area along the Lahn is also ideal for hiking and cycling. And with the steepest standseilbahn in the world, you can cover most of the altitude in comfort.
