The route

The route starts at St.-Remigus-Platz, from where you can reach Mühltal in just a few steps. From there, follow the sign on the right-hand side towards the RheinBurgenWeg and the Gedeonseck. After about 5 minutes on foot, you will reach the via ferrata, which offers 11 climbing sections on rocky walls.

After the challenging climbing section, you have the option of continuing along the hiking trail in the conventional way. The trail offers impressive views of the vineyards and the Rhine.

Along the RheinBurgenWeges trail, you finally reach the impressive Vierseenblick, from where you can enjoy a picturesque view of the Rhine. The Vierseenblick is also home to a restaurant, which offers a welcome opportunity to relax and recharge your batteries after a challenging hike.

400 meters further on is another charming vantage point, the Gedeonseck, which also offers a magnificent view of the Rhine Valley. On the last section of the hiking trail, you have the option of either taking the Seilbahn down to Boppard or walking the rest of the way via the so-called Ripp. At the end of this section, you return to the starting point.
